As we leave Corwin for Oregonia and Morrow the first thing of interest we see after leaving downtown Corwin is the SR 73 bridge over the trail at .3 miles from Corwin. This is the road you take from Corwin to cross US 42 and reach the town of  Waynesville. Waynesville has many antique shops and fine restaurants. For more information about the area:
 Waynesville Ohio Merchants Information
After passing under the SR 73 bridge Corwin Street follows us on the left of the trail. We pass one stop sign at 1.3 miles and then at 2.3 miles from Corwin the Corwin Street crosses the trail and then follows it on our right.

At left Corwin Street is following the trail on the right. At mile 2.66 the trail crosses over Corwin Street which is also known as Township Highway 47. At this point the trail crosses over Caesar's Creek on the highway bridge.
Note: This is a dangerous crossing. Please be careful!
At right we see the trail crossing Caesar's Creek on the highway bridge that carries Corwin Street over the Creek.  The Little Miami Scenic River is (as always) on our right.

At left is a picture taken from the middle of the bridge above looking West down Caesar's Creek. In the distance you can see it merging with the Little Miami Scenic River. All along the River for the next five miles or so you can see and hear canoeists riding down the river in kayaks, canoes and duckies. In the far distance is one of the canoes but you can't see it in this picture.
At right we see some of the canoeists enjoying the sunny day and the River. The canoe liveries in the area tie rope swings on trees that extend out over the Little Miami Scenic River. Here we can see some canoeists riding by such a tree while a girl in the foreground and her friend climb it to jump into the cool water. All along the river you can see and "hear" the happy screams of canoeists riding the River.  We are 5 miles South of Corwin at this point

We have crossed Oregonia Road at the  intersection with Corwin Road at mile 5.6.

At left we are just arriving in the little town or Oregonia, Ohio at mile 5.78. We are crossing Oregonia Road again in this picture. The Little River Cafe is coming up on the left of this picture. You can see cars in their parking lot at left.

At right is the Little River Cafe & Bed & Dinner (B&D). The Cafe is well known in the area and you'll see many cars with bicycle racks in the parking lot as well as bicycles.  We had a wonderful lunch here. The Cafe is highly recommended by this author. They are cyclist friendly.

We cross Race Street (County Hwy 12) at mile 5.90 Then we come to the Little Miami Canoe Rental at right at mile 7.25. This is one of three canoe liveries in the area.

Before you come to the canoe livery you see a picnic grove with tables and grills and the river as a background. Then you come to their office and signs. After that you cross Corwin Road which come to a "T Intersection" at left. We are 7.43 miles from Corwin
At right are a group of cyclists crossing Wilmington Road. There were many cyclists as well as runners and in-line skaters on the trail. It was a bright sunny day but it was not hot.

At left we are going under the very impressive double span of the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge (Interstate 71) which is the tallest bridge in Ohio  at 239 feet above the water. You can hear the trucks grinding down the highway before you come to the bridge. We are 8.24 miles from Corwin.
At 9.23 miles from Corwin you'll know before you get to Morgan's Canoe Livery by seeing the parking lot on the right of the trail.

Once you get to the road crossing at Fort Ancient you'll have parking on both sides of the road. At Fort Ancient are prehistoric Indian mounds build by the Hopewell Indians. While you are welcomed to Fort Ancient you are asked not to ride within the historic area. The entrance is just beyond Morgan's.

Then we cross Senior Road and come to Strout Road. We are getting close to Morrow at mile 11.52. Just beyond Strout Road is the:
 Morgan's Riverside Campground.
Their sign on right says.
Snack Bar, water, clean restrooms and water.
At right we are crossing Front Street in Morrow. At left of the picture is the back of a BP gas station with a BP Mart (shop for food and drinks) as well as pizza. I started riding with a family just before we got here. Their daughter wanted to go to the restroom. I told her mother that Morrow was about two miles away. But when we got to Front Street the mother and little girl used the restroom at the BP station while I and the husband talked while I took pictures More on them later.

We are crossing a large, old, overhead span railroad bridge to go into downtown Morrow. We are at mile 14.33 and we will soon be in Morrow. The stream under the bridge joins the Little Miami Scenic River to the right about 100 yards away.
We have arrived at Morrow, Ohio. We are looking at Front Street crossing the trail at mile 14.38. Front Street is also SR 123. Morrow was having some sort of street festival when I visited. Notice the tents for vendors.

The trail runs down the center of Main Street with a road and shops on both sides of the street.

On the right side of the street from the trail is:

Miranda's Old Time Ice Cream Shop
205 Main Street

They advertise themselves as an Ice Cream Shop.

After passing Miranda's we cross Park Avenue. There is an old green railroad warehouse or station on the left side of the street at mile 14.61

In this photo we have reached Phegley Park in Morrow. The Park has parking, restrooms, picnic areas and a children's playground. There is no water fountain but you could get water from a sink in the restroom. You can see the building that is the restrooms in the middle of the picture. We are at Center Street. If you look closely you'll see "friend wife" sitting in the shade in front of the restrooms waiting for me with the car.
Remember I was telling you about this family that I was riding with for a while coming into Morrow? Well; this is a picture of them. "TJ." the husband, and I found that we both had the same nickname. They are from Westerville, Ohio and love to come back to Dayton, where the wife was raised, to ride our wonderful trail system.
