| The picture at left shows the beginning of the trail from Loveland to Milford. Just behind us in the old railroad bridge. In a block or so you'll be in downtown Loveland and will cross West Loveland Avenue at the large street clock. If you are gong to ride from Loveland on a weekend be advised that parking is limited and the town gets very crowded on a weekend. It seems like every cyclist in the world is trying to find a place to park. Be careful crossing Loveland Avenue when riding South. | |
| This photo is 1.2 miles South of Loveland. It shows the trail passing by Miami-Riverview Park in Miami Township opened in 2003. This park has parking, restrooms and water and is an alternative place to park if downtown Loveland is crowded. It's on Branch Hill-Loveland Road near Sylvan Road. | |

About 2 miles South of downtown
Loveland (and about 1 mile from the trail) on Loveland Maderia Road is: Cycle Sport (See Map Quest Map) 10657 Loveland Madeira Rd Loveland, OH 45140-8965 (513) 683-0550 You can reach them from the trail by turning right (traveling South on trail) on Branch-Hill Guinea Pike at Arrowhead Apartments (the road is called Hopewell on the map). Follow road over bridge to traffic light (at Marathon Station). Turn right onto Loveland-Madeira Rd. The bike shop is two blocks down on the left in a small shopping center right next to Starbucks. |
| The trail here is perhaps the oldest section of the Little Miami Scenic Trail and in some places tree roots have heaved the trail up. As of Summer 2005 the trail within the Little Miami Scenic Park was renovated and all of these areas were repaved. I am informed that the construction is complete I was told: that: "...all of the root disturbances from the lower part of the trail are now gone having been replaced by patches of asphalt that provide a very smooth transition." The trail has been repaired from Morrow South to Milford. | |
| Here we are 3 miles South of Loveland about to cross under the I-275 bridge which is just South of Branch Hill. On the other side of the Little Miami Scenic River is Lake Isabella Park. | |
| Here we are in Miamiville, Ohio looking
South. We are crossing SR-126 and the traffic here is thick so be
careful crossing the road. In the left of the picture is the: Village Grocery and Carry Out 385 Loveland Miamiville Rd, Miamiville, OH 45147 (513) 831-9500 National Bank & Trust ATM in store You can get a drink or snack here or get some money out of their ATM. |
|
| At right is the railroad bridge that carries the trail over the Little Miami Scenic River south of Miamiville. This picture is looking North and was taken from the SR-126 road bridge that you can see on your left as you cross the river. As we cross over the river we leave Clermont County and cross into Hamilton County. We are 5.9 miles South of Loveland. | |
| At right we are just North of Camp
Dennison 6.7 miles South of Loveland. We are looking left from the trail
at the trail entrance. This is the:
School
House Restaurant The front of the restaurant is on SR-126. After we leave the turn off for the "School House" we pass into Camp Dennison. It seems that every 50 yards or so there is another road crossing. This will slow your progress through Camp Dennison. |
|
| Here we are at the Little Miami Scenic Trail's current end-of-trail. We are 9.5 miles South of Loveland. There is a small parking lot here with 17 spaces. Get here early if you want to use Milford as your starting point. There is a portable restroom you can see at center of the photo and there is a cell phone tower in the background. | |
| This picture is also taken from the just South of Milford. It is looking North back towards Milford. You can see State Route126 (going away from us) dead end into State Route 50 (crossing left to right) where they cross the Little Miami River. | |
| The trail has been extended South of Milford through Terrace Park and now ends South of Terrace Park at the Little Miami Golf Center on Newtown Road (SR-55) Plans are being made to extend the trail south to connect to an existing trail around Lunken Airport and eventually the trail will reach the Ohio River. See Milford to Lunken Airport for more information. | |
