Construction and Improvements
Trails Being Completed this Summer – Three trails have been dedicated already this Summer. They are
Buck Creek Scenic Trail, Beavercreek Trail Connector and the
Xenia – Jamestown Connector. Two more trails will be completed this Summer and Fall. They are:
Great Miami River Recreation Trail
- (Miami County) Section
2 - 2.5 miles from Dye Mill Road to the Troy Power Plant - To be dedicated Thursday 21 July
2005 at 2 PM with a public opening of Sunday 24 July from 1 PM to 4 PM.
Lebanon Countryside Trail
- (Warren County) 8.2 miles from Lebanon to Little Miami Scenic Trail North of Loveland, Ohio. To be finished at the end of August 2005 and dedicated October 2005.

Changes and Improvements
Hotels, Motels, B&Bs and Campgrounds near the trails
in the Miami Valley RailTrails Area - (Revised) - I have started a major renovation of this page. I am doing a lot of research to find the accommodations near our trails for your use. (July 2005)
Website Statistics
- I have decided to provide for my users the numbers of hits and calls for web pages by month that this site is experiencing. I must be doing something
right because the hits and page counts continue to climb. As of June 2005 this website exceeded 750,000 hits for the month.
Great Miami River Recreation Trail webpage (updated) I’ve completed re-ridden the trail and have updated all four of the web pages that make it up.
Great Miami River Recreation Trail Section 2 (Miami County) is finished. The trail is complete
and will be dedicated 21 July 2005. I have replaced all construction pictures with a completed trail.
Did you know that the Miami Valley RailTrails
website now has 166 web pages and 3.228 pictures (including thumbnails)? The site exceeded 750,000 hits in June 2005.
ODNR TRAILS PLAN
- The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has updated its Trails Plan to help guide the development and expansion of a statewide system of recreational trails throughout Ohio.
You can get a copy of this plan for the state of Ohio.

of Upcoming Cycling Events

1.Great Miami River Recreation Trail (Miami County) Section 2
of the trail from Dye Mill Road North to Miami Shores Golf Course will be dedicated 2:00 PM Thursday 21 July 2005. The public opening of the trail will be Sunday 24 July 2005 from 1PM to 4PM with public activities.
2. Lebanon Countryside Trail will be dedicated on 1 October (tentative) at the Countryside YMCA in Lebanon.
