EMERALD NECKLACE TRAIL
Cleveland- Cuyahoga County (Partly open) This trail when completed will
connect all 12 of the major parks in the Cleveland Ohio area. Currently 8 separate
sections of the Necklace exist as follows:
1. Rocky River Reservation 13.5 miles in Lakewood,
2. Big Creek Parkway section 8 miles in Middlebury Heights,
3. Valley Pikeway 7.5 Miles in Strongsville,
4. A 4 mile section in Brecksville, which connects to the Ohio & Erie Towpath Trail I
5. A section along Walton Hills to Bedford
6. 4.5 miles along Tinkers Creek and through the Walton Reservation
6. From Bedford to Salon a 6 miles section on the Hawthorn Parkway to
the South Chagrin Reservation,
7. A 3.5 mile section from Salon to Bentleyville,
8. A 4 mile section from the North Chagrin Reservation to Chardon Road.

OHIO CANAL WAY From Lake Erie in "The Flats" of Cleveland South to connect with the Ohio and Erie Towpath Trail. It will continue South of the Towpath Trail into Stark and Tuscarrawas counties. It will become a part of the "Ohio to Erie Trail" that starts in Cincinnati and will end in Lake Erie.

AND ERIE CANAL TOWPATH TRAIL
The trail which is a part of the Cuyahoga
Valley National Park is along the old towpath of the Ohio and Erie
Canal that once ran from Cleveland to the Ohio River. You can take a "Virtual
Tour" of the trail here. Here is a set of Road
Maps in the area for your use. And please look at the Trail
Maps as well.

Clark, Montgomery, Warren & Hamilton Counties. In Greene County the trail is Also
Known As (AKA) the Cedarville Trail since it travels from the
Xenia Station through Cedarville on its way to London, Columbus and then North to
Cleveland
Building on already established trails such as the Little
Miami Scenic Trail North of Cincinnati that runs currently from Milford to Yellow
Springs, and the Towpath Trail See Above, (South of Cleveland) the
sponsors of the trail anticipate that the Trail will be fully completed by 2003, which
will coincide with the bicentennial of the State of Ohio.-The Ohio to Erie Trail is a part
of the North Country Trail which
winds through 5 Northwest U.S. States.
