Drainage Work on GMRT

The Great Miami River Trail immediately north of Interstate-70 will be closed for two days, Tuesday November 22 and Wednesday November 23, to allow for the installation of drainage improvements.

The project will install underdrains at two locations on the Great Miami Trail where it parallels Interstate-70. These are intended to decrease the amount of water draining across the trail surface in order to limit silting after a flood, reduce algae growth in the summer and icing in the winter, and improve cyclist and hiker safety by providing better traction at that location.
