Pavement repair at Rip Rap Road

COVID-19 Pandemic

Posted September 11, 2020

The Miami Conservancy District (MCD) has hired a contractor to perform asphalt pavement repairs and crack sealing work on the Great Miami River Trail from the intersection with East River Road in Moraine south to Alex Road in West Carrollton (click here for project map). There are many large cracks and bumps in this section of trail that are in need of repair.

The work is scheduled to start Sunday night September 13th and be complete by Saturday morning, September 26th. In order to reduce the impact to trail users, most of the work will be performed at night. The earliest the trail will be closed will be 8:00 PM, and the latest it will reopen will be 10:00 AM. The trail will be open to all users between 10:00 AM and dusk on weekdays, and between 8:00 AM and dusk on weekends.

There will be no marked detour for this work because MCD determined a safe on-street detour route is not available. Trail users should heed the “Trail Closed” signs when they are in place. Your patience is appreciated as this much needed trail maintenance work is completed.
