Clark and Champaign County, OH: The Kenton Caper Bike Tour offers a wheel deal for bicycle fans on Saturday, September 14. This self-paced, recreational ride is not a timed race, but the chance to do a half-day trip on the historic Simon Kenton Trail. The ride features the choice of 8, 22 or 36 mile routes, perfect for novice and experienced riders. A one mile walk is also offered for people who prefer a lovely stroll.

There will be two rest stops offering food, drinks, first aid and mechanical support.

Registration is only $25, with proceeds benefitting the Developmental Disabilities of Clark County Levy Committee and the United Way of Clark, Champaign, and Logan Counties. Children 15 and under are free. People who register before August 24 will receive a free t-shirt to commemorate the day.

This is the sixth year for the event, which draws riders from all over the Miami Valley area. “Cycling is a fun, healthy event that people of any age can participate,” said Jennifer Rousculp, superintendent of Developmental Disabilities of Clark County. “That’s why we started this event, to give the community something fun we can do together.”
