Notice From the Clark County Park District:
During a routine inspection, significant structural concerns were discovered with the Pumphouse Road Bridge at Old Reid Park along the Buck Creek Trail. Given previous issues, the bridge had been limited to pedestrian and bicycle traffic only. However, following the latest inspection, all traffic is now prohibited until further assessment is complete. The City of Springfield and its partners are actively evaluating the next steps, and the City Service Center team is working diligently to close the bridge and ensure the safety of all residents and trail users. We understand this bridge is a key part of the Buck Creek Trail, and we recognize the inconvenience this may cause. However, safety remains the top priority, and we appreciate your understanding during this critical time. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
