The Great Miami River Trail will be DETOURED in Miamisburg for two weeks in September 2025 for replacement of the bridge over Sycamore Creek. This project is being led by the Miami Conservancy District and is funded, in part, by the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission through the Transportation Alternatives program.
Removal of the existing bridge and placement of the new bridge will have the trail DETOURED from September 2 through September 15, 2025. The detour route is pictured below following the red line.
The detour includes a short stretch on a gravel driveway. This is the detour for both northbound and southbound trail users, and is about 0.6 miles in length. For pedestrians there is sidewalk for the whole length (except for the gravel driveway) on the west side of Main Street. For bicyclists, the detour does involve riding with motor traffic on North Main Street in Miamisburg.
