The long-awaited connection between Franklin and Middletown along the Great Miami River Trail (25) is now complete! The Cities of Middletown and Franklin, and Metroparks of Butler County invite you to celebrate this new, one-and-half mile connection at the Official Ribbon Cutting event on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:30 PM.
The 26th Annual Buck Creek Boom in Springfield presented by LWS Taxes, Payroll, & Accounting, returns this summer to celebrate America’s Independence with a spectacular fireworks display. The fireworks show will be held Saturday, July 3, 2021 and is free to everyone. It will be possible to view the show from many locations around the community and allow more people to watch, closer to home now that the show has moved to downtown Springfield. The fireworks will be set off from a closed section of Ferncliff and Snyder Park near Buck Creek this Saturday, July 3 around 10:00pm.
In 2008, the Club sponsored the first "Signature Ride" to promote cycling and helping to promote non-profit organizations in the community. This project was historical; it represented the first ever event in which a predominantly black cycling club accomplished such an event. This year's designated Charity for the 2021 Signature ride is House of Bread. House of Bread, a non profit Dayton community kitchen providing hot nutritious meals daily.
