Slow Roll Xenia/Wilberforce

From Xenia Station to Payne Theological Seminary, Wilberforce, then back to the Carnegie Library in Xenia. This Slow Roll will examine and discuss the significance of the stained glass at both Payne Theological Seminary and the Carnegie Library - two historically prominent architectural structures in the Xenia area. An ice cream social will also take place at the Carnegie Library at the end of the event.

Slow Roll Wilberforce to Cedarville

As a part of the Greene County History Week celebration. Riders will meet at 5:45 p.m. at the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center (NAAMCC), 1350 Brush Row Rd. in Wilberforce. Dr. Charles Wash, NAAMCC director says, “The Slow Roll is about more than cycling. We all need the stress relief of fresh air, exercise, and good times with family, friends and neighbors. These rides also allow participants to learn about parts of their communities they may not know existed!”

From Xenia Station to the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center, then back to downtown Xenia for a scavenger hunt. Along the route back to Xenia several Underground Railroad sites will be visited and explained.

Cycling Summit Century Ride

Fairgrounds Recreation Center
​210 Fairground Road, Xenia

​Two Century Ride options (on the southern portion of the Little Miami Scenic Trail) will be offered as we close the 2017 Miami Valley Cycling Summit and welcome the International Trails Symposium to the area.  Choose from the traditional 100-mile ride to Miamiville or the 62-mile Metric Century Ride to Morrow. This route will be supported for rider convenience and safety - including rest stops supplied with snacks and beverages.

Miami Valley Cycling Summit

The Miami Valley Cycling Summit aims to use the power of cycling to drive economic development in communities both large and small throughout the Region. This year’s theme is “Cycling Attracts.” Join us on May 5, 2017 on the campus of Wright State University. The event is FREE. Registration is available at the Cycling Summit web site.

Little Miami Scenic Trail Celebration

We will recognize the 25th anniversary of the Little Miami Scenic Trail between Xenia and Yellow Springs on Saturday, October 15 in Yellow Springs.

Bob Taft, former Ohio governor, will start the program followed by Eric Oberg, Director of Development for Rails to Trails. Also on the program are Dan Young and Karen Wintrow (YS) speaking to the economic benefits, Bryan Heck talking about what Springfield is working on, and Laura Estandia, Bob Steinbach and Chrisbel Bednar on current challenges and regional cooperation.

Ribbon Cutting in Springfield!

Come celebrate with the City of Springfield!

The project to eliminate two on-street sections of the Little Miami Scenic Trail is being completed and the trail will soon be continuous through Springfield, OH. To mark the occasion and thank the many folks who made the project possible and a success the City of Springfield will hold a Ribbon-Cutting on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 2 PM. The public is invited to attend and join in the celebration!

Artemis Gone Riding

Come join our fun-filled bicycle tour on the Miami Valley Bikeways Bike Path. Riders from near and far come together to cycle against Domestic Violence. Pick your best costume and rally your friends or colleagues to create a “pedal crew” and collect pledges before the event! Awards will be given to the individual and crew with best costume, most funds raised, and to the largest crew!
