The time is drawing near. The Robert J. Shook Bikeway Bridge construction is about to start. Please join the Miami County Park District to celebrate the groundbreaking for this great project that will complete the Great Miami River Trail between Piqua and Troy.
The ceremony will take place at the Farrington Reserve, 1594 West Peterson Road.
Ride your bike on over to Jimmy's Ladder 11 and join Bike Miami Valley's quarterly Advocacy Social. They will be providing a recap from the Cycling Summit, some regional updates and action alerts, and fill you in on some exciting things the group has been working on to continue to help elevate the cycling movement in the region. They will also have signups for upcoming volunteer opportunities, awesome BMV T-shirts for sale and more.

The Miami Conservancy District invites you to a ribbon-cutting and inaugural ride for the newest section of the Great Miami River Bikeway on Monday, August 19 at 10:30 a.m. at the parking lot of the Courtyard Marriott, 2006 Edwin C. Moses Boulevard.
The event will take place at Carmel’s Southwest Grill, 1025 Shroyer Road, Dayton, OH 45419, on the south corner of the parking lot near the trail at 11:00 AM. There will be a short program ending with the ribbon-cutting ceremony. We encourage all participants to bike to the event and participate in a small bike tour of the trail following the ribbon-cutting.
